The Scottish Pétanque Association is the national governing body for the sport of pétanque in Scotland.  Our purpose is to promote and foster pétanque in the widest possible context within Scotland. The SPA is affiliated to both the C.E.PConfédération Européenne de Pétanque and the F.I.P.J.P. Fédération Internationale de Pétanque et Jeu Provençale.

There are SPA affiliate clubs all over the country and you can find the closest to you here.  We are keen to encourage more clubs to affiliate to the SPA as the benefits of doing so are substantial. Since the SPA was formed in 1985, thousands of people have been introduced to the game and many regularly play pétanque throughout Scotland.

If you enjoy good company and friendly competition you will enjoy playing pétanque. It is a simple game to learn, costs very little and can be played almost anywhere outdoors by young and old. We are here to help you to enjoy our sport at whatever level you wish to play – whether you just want to play socially at a club or want to play at the very highest level and compete internationally. We have opportunities for everyone.
