The Scottish Pétanque Association is affiliated to the FIPJP Fédération Internationale de Pétanque et Jeu Provençal), the world governing body of the sport.

There are now around 300 regular players throughout Scotland, in 11 affiliated clubs and, since the SPA was formed in 1985, hundreds of people have been introduced to the game and now play pétanque throughout Scotland.

If you enjoy good company and friendly competition you will enjoy playing pétanque. It is a simple game to learn, costs very little and can be played almost anywhere outdoors by young and old. We are here to help you to enjoy our sport at whatever level you wish to play – whether you just want to play the occasional game with family or friends or want to play at the very highest level and perhaps compete at the World Championships.
