12 triples teams competed in the 2018 SPA Triples at Perth PC on Sunday 19 August. We are pleased to see two new triples teams competing this year – The Combies (from Moffat PC) and Carnoustie PC. We hope they enjoyed the experience and will join us again at our events next season.

The winning team were Pretty Vacant – Shirley Legge, Lynn Jenkins and Robbie Stronach with a perfect record of 6 wins. The Sex Pisteols – John Wilson, Derek Adam and Colin Stewart – were second with 5 wins and Triaxle – Emma Montgomery, Paul Fletcher and Kevin Johnstone were third.

The national playing season now takes a break due to international competition. The final competition of the season will be the SPA Masters at Inverleith PC on 13 and 14 October, where the top 12 qualified teams from the Grand Prix Series will play for places in next year’s international squads.
