The SPA have been invited to the Brno Grand Prix (Triples) in the Czech Republic on 30th -31st August 2008. The organisers will pay accommodation and feed one team of 3 from Scotland for the weekend, although it is an international open competition so anyone with an international licence can of course play at their own cost.  The SPA have decided to offer the funded place in the competition to the Scottish team with the highest number of wins (or superior points difference in the event of a tie) of the 8 teams competing at the Celtic Challenge this year.  Please note the SPA cannot provide financial support to any participants.

Teams from France, Belgium, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Austria and more have been invited to play.  More details can be found on the website www.carreau.cz although readers will need to know Czech!  The President of Petanque Club Carreau Brno is Ivo Michalek,  He can be contacted at ivo.michalek@inasport.cz
